Wedding (and zoo) Week in St. Louis

Quinn,

We spent almost a week in St. Louis- Thursday, July 4th through the following Wednesday.  Daddy took the train home to KC on Sunday but we stayed a few more days to hang with Aunt Chrissy.

On Friday everyone was working so we had a nice family day and Daddy and I took you to the St. Louis zoo!  It was really crowded but we still had fun.  I was excited to show you the awesome penguin house.  You still talking about how the penguins were jumping in the water and how it was really cold.

On Saturday, Cousin Maggie got married and you were the flower girl!  You did a great job.  At the rehearsal it was no big deal, you walked right down the aisle, but during the actually wedding when that reeeeeeeally long aisle was filled on every side with hundreds of people and you didn't see Mommy up front and you turned around and looked back for Daddy just as the doors were closing on him... things got a little scary.  You started started to walk back down the aisle saying "Noooooo!  Daddy!" so Daddy came out and pointed up the aisle to where I had started to walk (as discretely as possible) down and those first few rows of cousins and Aunts and grandparents called "Quinn!", you finally saw I was there and turned and walked the rest of the way up with Jackson the ring bearer.  :)  It was super cute of course.

These girls (and Jackson) were your BFFs for the weekend.  You LOVED these older girls (Madison and Alyson).  You wanted them to hold you and dance with you and play ring around the rosy.  At the reception you weren't even paying attention to me, you just wanted to hang out with them.  It was soooo sweet.  Apparently you would have loved an older sister. :p

Congrats Maggie and Kevin!

Then on Monday we went to the zoo again :) with Aunt Chrissy and Great Aunt Jane (your favorite Great Aunt :).  This time we got to ride the train, see little sharks and stingrays, ride the carousel, see the zebras and giraffe, pet a guinea pig, play in the spray fountain, and much more.  We got back so late that you didn't even end up taking a nap.

Baby brother wanted to ride the carousel too :)

 "giraffe!  loooong neck!  really high!"

always such a happy girl

Fun at Great Grandma's House
